 The following is a poem I wrote about my cat Scratches, pictured below, the day after she passed Dec. 11, 2002

My Heart

"Today, the first day
But not the last
I can see the morning snow that covers the grass
A new beginning for us
Like the wind you are there
To carry our Love Forever and a day
But You are not alone, and niether am I

Our bond is never broken only strengthen in time
Forever I am yours and you are mine
We will always be one never separated in mind

To look at you know you love you
Was to know all things good and kind
Something to look forward to
And forward now I will look
Because I know we will go on Forever
Like the pages of an open book
So now I say to you
And send you on your way
Our paths are as one and will never part
I know we are still together and
You are still beating in me
Because YOU are My Heart
